Baby needs own passport.
Any person travelling to another country needs a passport. It doesn’t matter if your baby is one month old or one year old, she needs a passport of her own.
your baby is required to hold her own passport – an Australian one unless you obtain NZ citizenship by descent for her beforehand.
Your daughter will need her own passport. You can get a childs Australian passport, which lasts 5 years and costs $104.
The info is https://www.passports.gov.au/Web/index.aspx it’s closed for construction untill 11pm tonight, so try tomorrow.
Your baby will need her own passport, but which one will depend on her nationality.
You can only get an Australian passport for her if she is an Australian citizen and simply being born here isn’t enough to make her one. She is only an Australian citizen if one of her parents is an Australian citizen or PR. If her dad isn’t Australian or a PR (and on her birth certificate) and if you arrived after 26th February, 2001 and haven’t specifically been granted PR, she isn’t an Australian citizen and will have to get a NZ passport.

Yes, baby’s need passports to travel.
Your delay in getting Australian citizenship could have cost your baby tyhat citizenship (until she is 10) so it might have to be a New Zealand passport.
Enjoy your travel
